On February 23, 2026, Mr. Le Ngoc Son, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Vietnam National Industry - Energy Group and a delegation from Petrovietnam worked with the Vietnam Petroleum Institute (VPI) on the implementation of key tasks in 2026.
At the working session, Mr. Le Ngoc Son, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Petrovietnam, affirmed the important role of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW dated December 22, 2024, of the Politburo on scientific research, innovation, and digital transformation, contributing to the sustainable development of Petrovietnam.
Based on that, the Petrovietnam leadership outlined the key tasks that VPI needs to implement in the coming period, especially clearly defining its development strategy and plan, focusing resources to address "bottlenecks," and affirming its role and position in scientific research, innovation, and digital transformation.
On the occasion of the Lunar New Year of the Horse, Mr. Le Ngoc Son, extended New Year greetings to the staff, experts, and scientists of VPI, and expressed his hope that VPI would comprehensively fulfill its assigned tasks, contributing to enhancing the scientific and technological capacity and competitiveness of Petrovietnam.
